SOL / NCWEB

SOL aur NCWEB students bhi DU ke students hain.

For open & non-collegiate students — centres, exams and degree clarity, in depth.

SOL vs NCWEB — what's the difference?

SOL (School of Open Learning) is distance/open learning, open to all. NCWEB (Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board) is for women only, with weekend classes at designated DU college centres. Both award the same DU degree as regular colleges.

Degree equivalence

A B.A./B.Com from SOL or NCWEB carries the same University of Delhi degree status as a regular college, valid for higher studies and government jobs.

Study centres & teaching centres

SOL assigns a study centre near you for personal contact programmes (PCP). NCWEB runs teaching centres at host colleges (e.g. Hansraj, Aryabhatta, Bharati). Your centre is printed on your admission slip.

Exam-centre allocation

Exam centres are allotted separately from study centres and appear on your admit card. Always check the address a day before; centres can be across the city.

SOL assignment flow

Download assignment questions from the SOL portal, write within the given window, and submit online or at your study centre as instructed. Keep an acknowledgement/receipt.
